On 11.1.11 our first son, BelloSanto, was delivered stillborn at Chandler Regional Medical Center. We quickly learned that perinatal loss is not something many talk about or understand. After navigating through those first blurry months of grief, we knew we wanted to do more to help other families who have experienced the same and, many years later, met up with Jen & Brian Butson, other bereaved parents, and our Perinatal Bereavement Coordinators to help create Heaven's Hummingbirds.

Heavens Hummingbirds provides support, education and resources to families who have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth or early infant death. We provide a safe space for healing in a community that truly understands, and we try to ensure no one faces this devastating loss alone.

Losing BelloSanto was the hardest thing we've ever done, but his little life was also one of the most beautiful gifts we've ever received. He opened our eyes, made us softer and stronger at the same time, and showed us what loving a child really meant. This May we hope to honor his life and remember all the families who have experienced perinatal loss. We want to honor their children while raising money to help support the hundreds of people in the East Valley who experience this loss every year.
