The world shifts in an instant when you lose a child. When our first son was stillborn, Paul and I found ourselves navigating a kind of grief we never imagined. We were surrounded by love from family and friends, yet still longed for connection with others who truly understood this unique and complicated loss.

Years later, after meeting Jen and Brian Butson and alongside a small but deeply committed group of volunteers, Heaven’s Hummingbirds was born.

Today, I’m inviting you to be part of that community.

Our annual Family Remembrance 5K is more than just a run, it’s a space for honoring, healing, and hope. It brings together families, friends, and supporters to remember the babies we hold in our hearts and to surround grieving families with love and light.

Every dollar raised through registrations, donations, and sponsorships directly supports infant bereavement programs at Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers through Heaven’s Hummingbirds. These programs walk alongside families from the hospital to home, offering resources, guidance, and compassionate care when it’s needed most.
